Nick’s Car
Nick Gay, the garage supervisor, has developed a Rover Metro car for use as a Drag racing car.

He regularly travels to venues such as Santa Pod and Shakespeare County Raceway (near Stratford Upon Avon) Users sometimes travel to the events to watch Nick race, crash, blow up and generally come home busted!!! Seriously though, the car has proved very reliable and Nick generally manages a good result.

The car is now supercharged and at present returns a time of 13.1 sec. (Approx. 102 MPH) Over a quarter mile.

We Visited Willans Harness factory. As the car is now doing over 100 MPH. At the finish line, I decided it was about time that I fitted a proper harness (Seat belt) to the car.
I contacted Stockbridge Racing, the home of Willans Race harnesses, they very kindly supplied us with their product and also let us look around the factory, showing us how they produce such a high quality product meeting F.I.A. And S.F.I specifications.
We are very grateful to the staff at Willans and the car will be carrying their Logo from now on.
